Mounted on key parts of the vehicle chassis such as the suspension and subframe, vibration switches can feel road bumps and the condition of chassis components during driving. When the road surface is uneven and causes abnormal vibrations, they can determine if there are any loose, deformed, or damaged parts in the chassis. This information is then used by the control system to adjust the driving posture and speed, or to alert the driver to take action, ensuring driving safety and ride comfort.

Regarding the power transmission system, engines and motors may exhibit abnormal vibration modes when there are faults. Vibration switches can detect these abnormal vibrations and, in conjunction with data from other sensors, diagnose problems. For example, if an electric motor experiences a short circuit or rotor imbalance, the resulting changes in vibration can be detected by the vibration switch. It can then initiate contingency plans such as reducing power, switching power sources, or issuing alarms to prevent further deterioration and ensure the stable and reliable operation of autonomous vehicles.
